Kent Wellington Named Nelson Schwab Jr. Distinguished Alumni

Kent Wellington, an attorney at Bricker Graydon, was recognized at the Nelson Schwab Jr. Distinguished Alumni Dinner hosted by the Cincinnati Regional Chamber on September 7, 2023. This prestigious event celebrates exceptional Leadership Cincinnati alumni, whose contributions have significantly improved the Cincinnati region, earning them the title of "Leader Among Leaders." Kent Wellington's outstanding leadership and civic contributions have earned him the honor of being included among this esteemed group of awardees.

Outside of his professional work, Kent Wellington is known for his unwavering dedication to mentoring vulnerable children for the past 30 years and his commitment to bringing joy and support to families living with cancer for the past 16 years through The Karen Wellington Foundation. He also dedicates much of his time to the downtown Over-the-Rhine neighborhood. He actively participates in initiatives like Saturday Hoops, Dribblethon, CYC mentoring, and various not-for-profit groups.

Kent's multifaceted contributions to the community make him a true standout and deserving recipient of the Nelson Schwab Jr. Distinguished Leadership Alumni Award. The dinner, established through a memorial gift from Graydon Head & Ritchey LLP to honor Nelson Schwab Jr., also supports scholarship assistance for Leadership Cincinnati participants who may not otherwise have the opportunity to engage in this transformative program.
